Hauwa Malami Celebrates PBAT Media Anniversary, Hails President Tinubu’s Achievements
Hajiya Hauwa Malami, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate the anniversary of PBAT Media, using the occasion to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what she described as “bold steps that are gradually reshaping Nigeria’s economy and improving the lives of ordinary citizens.”
Speaking on the state of the nation, Malami noted that despite the tough economic realities inherited from previous administrations, the Tinubu-led government has made decisive moves to stabilise the economy, boost revenue, and invest in critical sectors.
According to her, revenue collection has more than doubled within a year, foreign reserves have grown beyond 40 billion dollars, and fiscal discipline has returned with reduced deficits and debt servicing. She also pointed out that the President’s reforms have brought more money to states, allowing governors to fund local projects, pay salaries, and support communities.
Malami further praised the President for initiating massive infrastructure projects, such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, which will connect regions, boost tourism, and open up new business opportunities across the South-West, South-South, and South-East. She also mentioned the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt Refinery, new seaport partnerships, and road networks that will ease movement of goods and people.
Highlighting social impact, she recalled the new ₦70,000 minimum wage, the increase in NYSC allowance, and the rollout of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses that have helped reduce transport costs for millions. She added that the student loan scheme, interest-free credit facilities, and upgraded health centres are already benefiting Nigerians, even though many may not realise it.
On governance, Hauwa Malami commended the President for ensuring fair representation in political appointments, giving opportunities to the South-South, South-East, North, and other regions. She described this as “a sign of unity and inclusive leadership that Nigerians have long demanded.”
She urged citizens to be patient, stressing that nation-building takes time. “Nigeria’s problems were not created in one year, but this government is showing the will and courage to fix them,” she said.
